Embrace Your Natural

Hey Masses,

So my hair has been natural for about 3 years now. And i can honestly say that my hair has never been more healthy than it is now. It's thick, shiny, and overall just looks great. However getting to the point that I'm at now was not easy. Over the years I've realized that if you dont have the time and patience to invest into your hair, your not gonna get the results your looking for. As long as I can remember I've always wanted long hair but all my life i'd never had hair past the small of my neck. So the idea that black girls didnt grow long hair seemed a bit true to me since this was an unattainable goal for me.

As i got older and overall more and more in love with the idea and the look of my natural hair, I made a conscious decision to start investing more time into my natural hair. I started researching natural/homemade products to use in my hair, hairstyle, and weekly regiments to implement into my routine. I decided to leave the weaves out for awhile and really take the time to give my hair the love it needs and deserves. After a month I was extremely pleased with the results. I recently took out my faux locs and decided that it was time for me to tackle this so far unattainable goal of growing my hair. Over the next couple of months, I'll be tracking my hair growth process, posting homemade products I've come across, healthy recipes (healthy diet=healthy hair), hairstyles and just letting you all know of my overall progress. Hope you all come back and check out my progress as I will be posting something every week! I'm really excited about this and can't wait to share my progress. 😄 XOXO
